Summer Camp
The theme for 2011 was "Up, Up and Away". Camp members explored things that go "up" and how they stay in the air. Campers had the opportunity to sit in and play with the controls of a real helicopter named "Stubby" and learned how it works. The children also climbed "up" a rock wall will. They also had an opportunity to explore space and space shuttles, airplanes, balloons, and such.
All campers also enjoyed the usual games and crafts. Many of our counselors have been with us for several years and must undergo a criminal background check.
You must be a resident of the township; the cost is $100.00 per child per week. You may sign up the children for two weeks of your choice. You will then be put on a waiting list for a third, if camp isn't filled to capacity.
Registration takes place at 40 Bethel Road. Checks should be made payable to Concord Township and are non-refundable. Should you need to change the original week, a $25.00 fee will be charged. You may download the two registration forms shown above and bring with you for registration.
All children must be 6 by October 1. The oldest campers will be going into 6th grade.
Snacks and spring water are provided every day. We make sure to check the ingredients for peanuts, oils, and tree and pine nuts.
Snowman/Creation Contest
The Annual Snowman/Creation Contest runs until the end of March. Winners will be presented at a Board of Supervisors spring public meeting. E-mail pictures of your creation with your name and address to to allison.odonoghue@gmail.com.
Easter Egg Hunt 40 Bethel Road
The Easter Bunny arrives annually via fire truck. Have the children bring their baskets to participate in the egg hunt and enjoy snacks, crafts, and more. Children are encouraged to be creative and wear their decorated Easter bonnet for judging and awards. |
