Township Council As provided by the Concord Township Home Rule Charter, the voters of Concord Township give legislative and executive authority to Township Council. Township Council, composed of seven (7) members, serves as the governing body of the Township. All members of Council are elected at-large and serve a four (4) year term.
Planning Commission Planning Commission members are responsible for the review of all subdivisions and land development applications, proposed ordinances, and revisions to the Comprehensive Plan. Their recommendations are advisory and are forwarded to the Township Council.
Zoning Hearing Board The Zoning Hearing Board is a quasi-judicial body whose responsibilities are specifically defined by the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code. They ensure the fair and equitable application of the Zoning Code and have jurisdiction to hear and decide on applications for Variances, applications for Special Exceptions, procedural challenges to the Zoning Ordinance, and appeals from the determination of the Zoning Officer.
Park & Rec Board The Park and Recreation Board is responsible for establishing and conducting a variety of recreation activities and planning for recreation opportunities in the Township.
Historical Commission The Historical Commission identifies and encourages preservation of historically significant structures in Concord Township by administering to the terms of the Historic Preservation Ordinance.
