Concord Township Council Wants to Hear From YOU!

Dear Neighbors,

Concord Township Council humbly invites you to join them in a series of conversations and events that will help to shape Concord for years to come.  The Township has engaged the services of Connect the Dots, a community engagement firm, that will be helping to collect public sentiment and creating meaningful experiences for you to join in a town wide conversation on important township priorities in collaboration with members of the Township Council.

Over the next 6-8 months, you will be given many opportunities to voice your vision to Township Council when it comes to key projects and initiatives that will benefit our community for generations to come.  At the end of the process, Council will create an action plan to implement.  Collectively, we will continue to keep Concord Township a great place to live, work and raise your family!

Step 1: The first step is a surveyYou might be saying: “I just answered a survey about open space...another survey?”  Well, we strongly believe that surveying is a crucial first step in understanding the needs and preferences of a large group of diverse people.  Your time and energy is valuable to us and will be critical in shaping the events that are rolled out for you this summer.  We want to know what is important to you: what do you want the township to focus on for the purpose of making the township a better place to live, work and raise your family?

Step 2: With your feedback, the council members will each choose a citizen-supported priority to pursue through a community-engagement activity.  These will take place throughout the summer months, spearheaded by council members and giving you an opportunity to collaborate with them directly about specific priorities relating to Concord’s future.

Step 3: After council members learn more from you about the topics in question, they will pledge one action or take a next step in actions needed, in order to begin the long road of implementing the community’s vision.

Step 4: Finally, in the fall, council members and the community will come back together to check in and assess the progress made so far, and discuss the path forward to ensure that identified priorities are being appropriately implemented in future strategic planning.
