Recycling & Waste Removal Waste Removal / Trash In order to protect the public health, safety and welfare of its taxpayers and residents, Concord Township requires by ordinance that all municipal wastes generated within its jurisdiction shall be disposed of at a facility designated by the county.
This service is not provided by the township. Residents of Concord Township must arrange for trash pick-up with a townshipregistered private haulerof their choice.

Recycling In compliance with Act 101, Pennsylvania’s Municipal Waste Planning, Recycling and Waste Reduction Act,private haulers registered in Concord Townshipare required to provide the curbside collection of recyclables at least twice a month. Contact your private hauler for specific details concerning twice monthly collection.
Concord Township organizes two township recycling days each year. Held once in the spring and once in the fall, residents are encouraged to bring all types of household items for recycling. (Note: Local municipalities are not permitted to collect hazardous waste. Concord Township will not handle or collect hazardous waste at township collection days.)
Paper and cardboard recycling bins are located year-round at the township public works garage (675 Smithbridge Road). County recycling igloos for glass, aluminum and plastics marked #1 or #2 are located at Clayton Park, 3173 Garnet Mine Road.
Household Hazardous Waste Concord Township is not permitted to collect hazardous waste. Throughout the year, Delaware County organizes several Household Hazardous Waste Collection events.
Electronic Waste Effective January 2013, state law prohibits electronic waste from entering the trash stream. Electronic waste can be brought to the semi-annual township recycling days.
Yard Waste / Grass Clippings Concord Township encourages residents to recycle grass clippings. Residents are also encouraged to create their own backyard compost pile.
Concord Township organizes a Lawn Debris Pick Up day in the spring and a Leaf Pick Up day in the fall. Both pick up days require residents to sign up on the preceding township recycling day.
